Statement
I am interested in making works that operate as symbolic acts of resistance, that provoke reflections on possible ways to inhabit the world, that speak about the control mechanisms to which we are subjected and about our own mental prisons. My intention is to promote a reflection about what happens outside of the cinematic canvas. The final result is some kind of rarefied fiction that appropriates fragments of other discourses in order to invite the spectator to remember. Somehow I am interested in using fiction as a vehicle to generate a critical confrontation of the viewer towards their own context. The universe that unfolds around this fiction grows around the conflicts of our society in transformation, the loss of identity, violence and forgetfulness. My interest is to propose a possible reality constructed by moments in which the logic of capitalism and social relations stop and give way to other dynamics of social interaction.
